Updating your profile and changing your password

Your profile in the Find A Coach Directory is perhaps the most valuable benefit of professional membership in the ACO. But it won’t do you much good if there’s nothing in it but your name and email address.

So here are the instructions to make the process of updating your profile, adding a picture or changing your password EASY PEASY –

1. To log into the members area from Circle. Use the link near the top of the center column, shown below.

2. You will be asked for your login name and password. If you don’t know them, then use the entry method below where you can request that the info be sent to you.

Please note, depending on your browser, you may be asked to enter that info twice. I don’t know why.  It just happens. It’s not a problem of the system.

If that works for you then continue to step  to continue the instructions.

3. If your start from the ACO home page,  then click Log In  from the navigation bar at the top of the page shown below.

4. The next screen you see looks like the one below:

5. Fill in your login name and password. Remember CAPITALS COUNT!
6. If you can’t remember your LOG IN NAME OR PASSWORD, fill in your email address in the circled box at the bottom. Click submit and you’ll get an email (pretty close to instantly) listing BOTH your log in name and password.
7. When you’ve entered your login and password correctly, here’s what that landing page looks like.

8. If you don’t get into the dash board directly after logging in, use the link to the Member Dashboard circled below.  THEN do step 7.

Once you’re on the dashboard (fig 4) you can manage all your member info.

9. If you want to change your profile, click on Update your profile, the first link shown circled above. Fill in the blocks on the resulting page. You can change them at will. We do suggest that you use certain key words in your bio section to make the search most beneficial for you. Read this article for more information about that.
10. Next to that is the place to change your password if you want to. (It would be a good idea the first time you access this part of the site. Pick a password you can remember instead of the odd ball thing the system picks for you.) Remember capitalization counts. Be careful if you copy and paste from the email that you don’t also pick up any extra spaces or line breaks. It won’t work if you do.
11. The link under the Profile link is the place to add your photo. We recommend that your photo not be larger than about 250×250 pixels or about 26KB. Otherwise you may not be able to load it at all OR it will take up your whole page and look really ridiculous.
